Unsolved Crimes

 

December 22, 2007

On December 22, 2007 the Crawford County Sheriff Department received call from Campbell ’s One Stop gas station in Soldiers Grove stating someone hit the control box which operates the car wash. They stated they reviewed the security camera’s and had a suspect vehicle which is described as a newer Dodge Ram 1500 Ext. Cab short box possible gold or silver color.

 

The damage to the control box occurred at 6:08 am on December 22, 2007 and the estimated cost of repairs is $15,000.00 dollars. The damage to the truck is going to be on the front bumper and minimal.

 

 

August 21, 2007

On Tuesday night August 21, 2007 someone entered the Gays Mills Amoco station through a locked back door and stole numerous items.  Items stolen include cigarettes, liquor, Mt Dew and Rental DVD movies.  This burglary and theft occurred during the recent flood which had closed the Station due to severe flooding inside the station.  The water had subdued and cleanup had begun prior to the break in.

 July 14 2007

On Saturday, July 14 2007, the Prairie du Chien Police Department received a report of criminal damage to property and entry into a locked dwelling at the historic Brisbois House.  The persons who entered the house expelled a fire extinguisher inside causing an enormous amount of damage to the exhibits inside and the interior of the house.

 

March 29, 2007

On Thursday, March 29, 2007 the Prairie du Chien Police Department received a report of a stolen vehicle at approximately 5:45 AM.  The vehicle was described as a 1994 Silver Mercury Tracer with Iowa registration. On Friday, April 6, 2007 at approximately 9:00 AM it was reported by a land owner on STH 171 in Clayton Township that he had located an abandoned vehicle on his property. It was later discovered that abandoned vehicle was the stolen vehicle from Prairie du Chien.  Upon inspection of the vehicle it was discovered that portions of the interior were removed from the vehicle, including but not limited to the center counsel and passenger seat.

January 20, 2007

On Saturday, January 20, 2007 the Prairie du Chien Police Department investigated a burglary at Edwards Plumbing, Heating and Appliance Center located at 1200 South Marquette Road in the City of Prairie du Chien. The front North entrance door had the glass broken out of it and the door was open when an employee on 01/20/07 discovered it at approximately 8:00 a.m. Inside the store the main service counter had been ransacked and a cash drawer had been ripped from under the counter an pried open and approximately $150.00-$200.00 had been taken from the cash drawer. At this time these items have also been reported missing:

1. Bosch front load washer model # WFR2460UC.

2. Bosch front load dryer model # WTA3510UC.

3. Tractor Supply brand two-wheeled dolly with pneumatic tires, which converts into a 4-wheeled appliance dolly.

4. Carrier brand 60,000 BTU home furnace model #58MVB060F14

December 28, 2006

On December 28, 2006 the Prairie du Chien Police Department received a call on a missing adult from the City of Prairie du Chien.

Height: 63 inches

Weight: 140 lbs.

Eyes: Brown

Hair: Brown

Race: White

Circumstances of disappearance: Unknown. Shannon was last seen between 5-8 pm at a friend’s residence in the vicinity of the 200 block of W.
